Nutrition Philosophy & Approach
My approach to Nutrition Counseling and Education:
Patient-Centered
Culturally Humble
Gender-Affirming
Fat Positive
Trauma-Informed
Realistic
Delicious
My nutrition and/or cooking classes and workshops are designed to provide attendees with thought-provoking approaches to nutrition by breaking down fundamentals of human physiology and/or cooking into digestible, bite-sized pieces and offering actionable items to encourage growing connections between food and body.
I also like to dive into the history of the food and wellness industries for context. Each presentation will include a time that encourages group conversation. Corresponding handouts (digital or physical) can be made available for attendees upon request.
Nutrition presentations and workshops can be a sparkling addition to the workplace, wellness events, a night with friends, and more.
These presentations and workshops are created through the lenses of trauma-informed, gender-affirming, culturally-inclusive, and weight-inclusive nutrition practice philosophies. They are not intended to diagnose or treat existing medical conditions.
