Calm TF Down Nutrition Teaching Philosophy
CalmTFDown’s nutrition and cooking presentations, classes, and workshops break down key concepts of the science of human physiology and/or the science and art of cooking into digestible, bite-sized pieces. Through thought-provoking discussions and actionable takeaways, attendees are provided tools for building stronger connections to food and body.
For context, we can also explore the history of the food and wellness industries. We’ll often examine how culture, marketing, and systemic factors shape our perceptions of health and nutrition.
Corresponding handouts (digital or physical) can be made available for attendees upon request.
These presentations and workshops are created through the lenses of trauma-informed, gender-affirming, culturally-inclusive, and weight-inclusive nutrition practice philosophies. They are not intended to diagnose or treat attendees.
